Phase also matters. A waxing Moon, śukla pakṣa or the bright fortnight, is classified as benefic, meaning supportive; a waning Moon is comparatively malefic, meaning more challenging. Full dig bala, directional strength, belongs to the Moon in the fourth house, the nadir or northern angle. Your Moon's sign does not establish its house.

To personalise the interpretation, consider Saturn's condition, the Moon's house, the aspects reaching it, and daśā, a planetary period. When does a little emotional distance help you respond fairly, and when does it get in the way of being present?
